Then I tried the wings.very large juicy wings with an exceptionally good buffalo sauce. Their pizza was delicious! An unexpected pleasant discovery. But Tower of Pizza made a valiant effort. Of course, once you've had pizza at Heaps Brick Oven in Provo, UT, it's hard for anybody to stack up.
I had not found anyplace east of the Mississippi that knows how to make a good pizza. Lacking any other place, we laid out our picnic on the hood of our car and started eating. My meal prepared, a pile of condiments and accessories added, including a handful of key lime candies, we headed back to our selected sunset spot. The people who worked there and other waiting patrons were exceptionally friendly and helpful. While waiting I asked where we could discover good Key Lime pie without having to go all the way to Key West and was informed they had pie there. So with more anticipation I selected a pizza and buffalo wings order. As I looked over their take out menu, servers walked past me to take dinners to patrons. Entering the establishment confirmed its hole in the wall atmosphere and also that it was a family restaurant. Continuing up the Keys to mile marker 81.5 in Islamorada we came across the Tower of Pizza, a small hole in the wall restaurant. The one place we were interested in was packed to the point of no parking available. So we turned around and searched up the Keys. Driving further down the Keys we found ourselves in a part of the drive where there were very few businesses. We still had an hour and a half before sunset, so we set out to find food for a picnic at this discovered location. As we drove down the Keys looking for a place where the sun would set on the water, with no islands in the way, we discovered a spot with parking at the base of a bridge a mile marker 74. While there we wanted to see a Keys sunset. My family traveled to the Keys to go scuba diving.
